2008 Democratic National Convention

Denver has become the host city for the 2008 Democratic national convention. I thought we had enough misguided people in our state, so lets invite the rest of them. I hope while they are here they will ban something, I don’t care what it is, just take away some of our basic rights. What was Nancy Pelosi’s first act as speaker? Ban smoking. We need to prioritize people, Americans can’t think for themselves. Thank God (oh wait I could offend someone, I should use ______ instead of God.) for democrats, I do not know what I would do with all of the civil liberties I would have if not for you. As far as all of the Democrats, welcome to Colorado as long a you, don’t own a gun, don’t smoke, use renewable energy, don’t eat anything that bleeds, drive a hybrid car(or just think that your SUV is ok because you need it and everyone else is bad), bash our President every chance you get or are just generally self-righteous.The crazy thing about these conventions is there are always more problems with unruly protesters at the Republican convention. What does that say about democrats? Mark my words, I will bet anyone $100 that there are more arrests at the Republican convention.  I will hopefully be on vacation during the convention, I don’t want to be around that many democrats.

Al and the global destruction

I was watching this show tonight that calims that global warming is going to eventually kill everyone on the planet. Al has the awnser. Al Gore that is. The “savior” of our planet. I should make a movie about global cooling as I am sitting in 2 feet of snow. Popular Science printed an article in 1974 claiming that global cooling was a distinct possibility and prominent scientists of the day collaborated on this article. Their solution was to melt the polar ice caps. Think about that for a minute…. thirty two years ago we had a completely diffrent view of our planet. What will it be like in thirty more years.

Human arrogance is what I think drives the “we are all gonna die if we don’t all ride bikes to work”. It seems like an elitist “I told you so, I am blaming you for____” type ethos. Science is continually changing and to claim that a THEORY like global warming is 100% going to kill us, that is just media hype. Do the research on both sides and you will come back undecided. But don’t ask Al, he will tell you it is your fault. 

Alright now I am in hell

I just heard that Cindy Sheehan claims that she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Well, I have a few opinions about that.

Sheehan is an anti-american and I believe her son would not approve of her self-promotion on the occation of his death. He was a volunteer military man, no draft like our fathers in Vietanm or grandfathers in WW2, but a full volunteer. She is profiting from her son’s death. Think about that, and think about that hard. She said, and I quote, “I wish I could go back in time and KILL GEORGE BUSH when he was a BABY”. I don’t believe that qualifies as a Nobel prize winner.

War is a horrible and unnecessary evil. But you know what, it happens and we are just too far removed from the rest of the world to recognize that. But as far as a mother is concerned, I doubt that you would try and benefit from the death of your son.
